About Vizslas

The Vizsla is a medium sized, short-haired, energetic companion. Originally developed to be a personal hunting dog and family pet, they do best when given plenty of time, attention, exercise and training. They are an active breed and do not suit every lifestyle. You won't find a smarter, more loyal, more engaging partner. However, without appropriate training and handling, they can be overwhelming and may redirect their energy towards destructive behaviour. They are meant to live in the heart of the home and do not thrive in a kennel or away from their family for long hours. Do your research, talk to breeders and spend some time with the breed before you commit.
